joined kaguya as its first engineer and built the original Next.js web app across discovery, user library, ratings and reviews, lists, profiles, and social features; later took sole engineering ownership across the Elixir/GraphQL/PostgreSQL backend, web, and mobile. built a cms on t3 stack (next.js, typeScript, trpc, prisma, postgres) with secure admin authentication and multi-tenant data isolation. implemented vector search for image recognition using open-source libraries (deepface, python) as cost-effective alternative to aws rekognition.

pyco-db is a redis-inspired in-memory database in python with a single-threaded selectors event loop, resp2 pipelining, custom skip-list sorted sets, optimistic transactions, expiration and eviction, pub/sub, and snapshot recovery.
